NMS DVD Burning SDK Licensing
Our CD/DVD recording SDK has a very simple license model that is flexible and easy to understand. We accommodate everyone from the large corporations to individual developers. Our license model is based on the number of development seats, organizational size, and the type of application deployments required.

We do not charge runtime license fees, or royalties. You are free to redistribute our CD/DVD recording SDK components with your application as long as your deployment model continues to be within the scope of your original License.
Licensing Check list
As you consider which license to purchase, please keep in mind the following criteria:
- How many developers, or automated build systems (an automated build systems is considered as a developer) will need access to the SDK for the project in question? If anyone in your organization needs access to our SDK components from within any type of development environment, they will need an additional developers license.
- How many employees does your organization employ?
- In how many physical sites (locations) does development occur? In other words, does your development involving our SDK occur at multiple sites?
- Does your project require development of an embedded application? If so, are you developing more than one application?

Unique Support Challanges:
Technology in the our Disc Burning SDK is frequently upgraded due to rapid changes in the CD/DVD storage market (supporting new devices types/media, operating systems, etc). The introduction of Blu-Ray and HD-DVD devices (which we support) are good examples of these technology advancements. Keeping these technologies updated is very time intensive becasue they involve both low-level hardware and operating system services. Unlike simple UI controls, a single hidden system setting can casue issies which need to be investigatedUnder Construction... Stay tuned!!!
Software Assurance:
Changes Effective for License purchases after 10/08/2009.
All licenses now
include a one (1) year 'Software Assurance Subscription!
This enhancement provides customer access to upgrades and updates during the term of the subscription. Support services are also provided during this term at no charge. Technical support is provided via email. Response times may vary based on the complexity and scope of the issue, but as general support questions are usually answered within 24-96 hours. Support is provided during our standard business hours (9-5pm Central).
Customers without a current 'Software Assurance Subscription', or who have let an SAS lapse, will need to purchase a 'Product
Version Upgrade'. Again, one (1) year of a SAS starts from the upgrade date AND
is renewable. Essentially, this provides the same features and abilities as a new License, but at a discounted rate.
